France
There is a sign over the doorway at the winery of Cháteau de Nouvellen, near Tuchan, in Corbiéres, which reads: "A meal without wine is like a day without sun". One of the great pleasures to be gained from the relaxed French way of life is its cuisine, accompanied naturally enough, by a glass or two of wine.
The nation of France is magnificently spoiled by a greatly varying climate and diverse "terroir" which changes from the cooler "Champagne and Chablis" regions of the north to the hot Mediterranean climate of the French "New World" areas of the "Languedoc-Roussillon and Provence" in the south.
Nowhere in the world can boast such a varied and diverse range of delicious wines, all we have to do is experiment and enjoy and we will certainly find wine heaven.
The images below gives you a small taste of the French landscape which is dominated by beautiful Chateau's and hectres of rolling vineyards of which many are still family ran. Once inside one of these wonderful vineyards, the owners are only too pleased to let you tour and taste. A familiar sight within will always be "Le Cave", this is one of those area's that traditional French winemakers take a great deal of pride in.
The pictures below show one of the vineyards at "Domaine la Grangette" and "Le Cave" at "Domaine la Madeleine Saint Jean". These Domaines can both be found in the Languedoc region of Southern France and their wines can be found exclusively within our ranges.
