Loire Valley
The "Val de loire" one of France's more northern wine regions runs from east to west of which the River Loire is the longest river in France. On both sides of the valley vineyards can be found both inland as far as Tours (the garden of France) or near the Atlantic at Nantes. Although White wines dominate, quality Reds and Rosés can be found around the Chinon, Angers and Saumur areas.
New and exciting Organic wines are now coming to the fore with special examples such as Domaine du Petit Coteau 2005 "Sparkling Vouvray" which gives traditional Champagne a good run for its money..

A team of talented French and New World winemakers worked on the vinification of carefully selected grapes to produce this attractive Sauvignon Blanc. Characterised by grassy, gooseberry aromas, Kiwi Cuvee is delicious served chilled on its own but also drinks very well with fish and white meat dishes.

This delightfull "sparkler" from Saumer is made in the traditional Champagne way. It has a subtle fruit aroma with hints of grilled hazelnuts and is soft in the mouth with a slightly buttery taste. A great celebration wine without the cost of its big brother from Champagne.
