Beaujolais
Beaujolais, a much neglected region which actually produces more wine than Burgundy, with the combination of sandy clay soil and it's wonderfully fruity "Gamay" grape, Beaujolais produces light, fruity easy to drink wine which is ideal for those who aren't fans of heavy powerful reds. Beaujolais is also a red wine that can be enjoyed "Chilled" and makes a refreshing change from white wine during the warm summer months.
Watch out for the selected premier area's within Beaujolais, such as Morgan, Fleurie and Brouilly's these are excellent but as an introduction Henry Fessy's Beaujolais Village 2005 is a gem at the price.
