Italy
No longer playing second fiddle to France, Italy is recapturing its ancient history of wine production; the Greeks were cultivating vines in Southern Italy as far back as 1100 BC. Spain
When we think of Spain we think of Rioja or cheap ‘plonk’ we tasted on holiday. A good Rioja can’t be beaten but a bad one will leave you afraid to ever try another.
